The Ministry of Security BiH and the CPRC successfully completed the training "Entry of Foreign Citizens in BiH and Reasons for Rejection of Entry" on November 22, 2018, in Sarajevo. The discussed aspects were legal solutions from the Law on Foreigners of BiH and the Law on Asylum of BiH about Entry Procedures, concerning the entry of foreign nationals in BiH, the reasons for refusing entry into BiH and the way of declaring refusal of entry. The aforementioned legal regulations were made in accordance with European standards.
It was concluded that it is important to work on raising the awareness of police officers in order to perform as high as possible border checks on foreigners, to use maximum specialized equipment and data from as many sources. Further steps have been agreed when it comes to cooperation of the Border Police of BiH, the Service for Foreginers affairs and the Ministry of Security of BiH, especially regarding better coordination and communication in terms of better exchange of operational data, which will enable easier monitoring of all relevant information.
