At the XV Counselling of Judges and Prosecutors of Bosnia and Hercegovina, which was held in the period from 1st to 4th June 2016 in Neum, on the topic "Fight against organized crime and terrorism", Criminal Policy Research Centre (CPRC) organized a special panel with international and local experts who exhibited application of measures for confiscation/forfeiture of illegally obtained property as an effective means of combating organized crime and corruption.

Meeting of the Working Group for development of the Strategy and Action Plan for the fight against corruption of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2015-2019

Corruption is not only a form of delinquency, nor the activities in its fight can be reduced to a (criminal) legal sanctions. The key to the reform is changing policies and systems, and not in the prosecution of individual perpetrators, the moralizing drone or the adoption of new laws and regulations. Research of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime indicated that about 25% of those who have had contacts with officials in the public sector gave money, a favour or any other undue advantage. The mentioned amount was recorded in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is higher than the average of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the countries of the Western Balkans. Therefore, the development and adoption of such a document is of crucial importance for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Working visit to the disciplinary center for juveniles in Sarajevo

On 09th of June 2016 a visit to the Disciplinary center for juveniles was organized by the Disciplinary center for juveniles and the Center for Criminal Policy Research (CPRC). Guests were representatives of the Team for the implementation of the Action Plan of prevention of juvenile delinquency and the use of alternative measures in East Sarajevo 2015-2017, the Centre for Social Work in East Sarajevo, representatives of the Novi Grad municipality, representatives of the Sarajevo Cantonal Centre for Social Work, as well as representatives of CPRC. The visit is organized with the purpose of exchange of experiences of professionals working with children and minors and is a continuation of activities aimed at strengthening the alternative ways of responding to juvenile delinquency.

Criminal Policy Research Centre (CPRC), on 25th May 2016, at hotel "Sarajevo" in Sarajevo, organized a Roundtable under the title "Justice for Every Child". Participants at the event were professionals from institutions in Canton Sarajevo and East Sarajevo working in the field of child protection and the field of implementation of policies for countering socially unacceptable behaviour of juveniles.

Criminal Policy Research Centre (CPRC), on 19th and 20th May 2016, in Banja Luka organized a two-day training for professionals from Canton Sarajevo and East Sarajevo who work with children and juveniles in contact with the law. Thus, in one place were assembled, those who propose, pass, monitor and execute alternative measures. Manual for practitioners in the field of confiscation/forfeiture of illegally obtained property

e hereby inform you that the Manual for practitioners in the field of confiscation/forfeiture of illegally obtained property, published by the Criminal Policy Research Centre (CPRC), is out of print. This educational text is the result of several month of work of reference authors in the field of the judiciary, academia and government in the Federation of BiH, which should provide basic information on the procedure for confiscation/forfeiture of illegally obtained property under the current legislation. The Manual was developed within the project that is financially supported by the British Government in the field of fight against corruption and serious forms of crime by confiscating/forfeiting illegally obtained property.

The prevention juvenile offending and the use of alternative measures in the municipality of Pale

In the municipal building in Pale, on 10th May 2016, the Municipal Department for Economic and Social Affairs organized a meeting regarding implementation of juvenile offending prevention programs and implementation of alternative measures for juvenile offenders. In addition to the host and representatives of CPRC, the meeting was attended by professionals from the Centre for Social Work and professional workers from schools.

In order to monitor the implementation of the Action plan for prevention of juvenile offending and the use of alternative measures in the city of East Sarajevo, Criminal Policy Research Centre (CPRC), on 6th May 2016, visited the professionals who work in the municipality of Sokolac in the field of child protection. Fourth meeting of the Working Group for preparation of the Proposal for Federation BiH Anti-corruption Strategy 2015-2019

At the headquarters of Federal Government, on 22. 04. 2016, the third meeting was held of the Working Group for preparation of the Proposal for Federation BiH Anti-corruption Strategy 2015-2019 and Action Plan for the implementation of the same-name strategy, as well as the Team for the coordination of activities related to the preparation of these documents.
